TheTulip
Slandered Father, a demon the first man believed.
Our Parents, who should have known better, so easily deceived.
Though unjustly questioned, doubted, maligned,
Trustworthy You are and would prove so in time.
Bound by our stone hearts, in their sin have we,
cherished our own will above Your sovereignty.
The Son of the Morning with Adam our Head,
Mans unfettered will lost and these in its stead.
Are You bound to give Mercy to all or to some?
Is it not Your Grace alone that saves anyone?
Let Your counsel, not ours be the script of this stage,
for Lord You are good and You never will change.
Let no name but Your Name on Earth be named higher.
Drank Your Son the Wrath Cup and plucked Yours from the Fire.
For all time thus proving by His precious blood
that in Christ, Your Glory, is our greatest good.
